Rudradaman junagarh inscription :- Rudradaman was the greatest shock king of western India. The activities of Rudradaman are known from the Junagar inscription. This script is full of Sanskrit prose, but written in the style of poetry. It was written around 150 AD. From this script, the personal qualities of Rudradaman, the theory of state conquest and governance are known. In this script, Rudradaman is supposed to be elected. The Junagar inscription states that people of all castes nominated him as 'Rakshak' and he took the title of 'Mahakshatrap'. The Junagadh inscription contains a list of various places in his kingdom.
